Zuma Rock

Zuma Rock is a 725-metre monolith rising sharply from the plain along the Abuja-Kaduna road, roughly 45 minutes from the capital. Its sheer granite face has made it one of the most photographed natural landmarks in Nigeria, and it appears on the 100-naira note. Most visits are a half-day trip from Abuja: a short walk to the viewing base, photography, and an optional guided walk with a site guide.

Abuja National Mosque

Nigeria's foremost Islamic place of worship, its golden dome visible across central Abuja. Non-Muslim visitors can view the exterior and, outside prayer times, arrange a guided interior visit.

Aso Rock

Aso Rock is a 400-metre granite outcrop overlooking Abuja's Three Arms Zone, the backdrop to the National Assembly and the Aso Rock Presidential Villa. Most visitors view it from Millennium Park or the surrounding public roads rather than climbing it, since the summit route is unmarked and rarely used by tourists.

Millennium Park

Abuja's largest public park, inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II in 2003, with landscaped gardens, walking paths, a lake and views across to Aso Rock. A popular spot for picnics, jogging and evening strolls in the capital.
